Dear Keene/Brattleboro/Rindge Orthodontic Patient Family,
We want to share what we are doing in response to the Coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak. The health and safety of our patients, team members, and community is of utmost importance to us. Please be assured we are closely monitoring developments and implementing several safety precautions.
For the time being, we will remain open and take care of our patients. As always, we follow OSHA guidelines for infection control. In addition, we use an outside company to monitor our sterilization methods. Our office will be following the CDC’s recommendations as we learn more about this virus. We have increased our disinfection protocol, and the frequency of our cleaning schedule.
IF YOU ARE CURRENTLY EXPERIENCING A FEVER, COUGH, RUNNY NOSE OR DIFFICULTY BREATHING, OR HAVE BEEN EXPOSED TO THE COVID-19 VIRUS, PLEASE DO NOT VISIT OUR OFFICE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

For your safety our our team’s safety we will be implementing the following at your visit:
1) Our reception area will be closed. We will have a team member greet the patient at the front door. Alternatively, families wait in their car and call our office upon arrival.
2) We will ask for your cooperation in reducing parents and family members coming to appointments. If possible, please send in the patient by themselves. For small children or children with special needs we will allow one parent to accompany their child.
3)We will be asking if you or anyone in your family has been sick or traveled internationally when you arrive at our office. If you answer affirmatively or are visibly sick, we will ask you to reschedule
4)We will be removing the check in computer – please check in with our receptionist. Likewise we will be removing all magazines, communal items, and refreshments like cookies or ice cream.
5)Please wash your hands or use hand sanitizer when arriving at our office.
6)Our Smile Shuttle will not be running at this time.
7)We will be doing phone or facetime updates on your child’s treatment so you are still informed on their treatment. We will also call you to schedule your child’s next appointment.
8)We will call you to reschedule non-essential orthodontic appointments at this time: Retainer Checks, Growth Guidance follow ups, etc., to reduce the total amount of foot traffic in our office at this time. We will reschedule these appointments to a later date.
9)Certain other types of appointments that increase risk of virus transmission will be modified or rescheduled.
10)Team members will refrain from handshaking. We will still give plenty of smiles.
We have also communicated to our team that they should remain at home if they are experiencing a cough or fever. We may experience some short staffed days in the future, and appreciate your patience during this time.
